Rummage Sale
Lin Tranter leads our Rummage Sale, which is a Fall tradition at Enon UMC. Proceeds from this event support various church and/or ministry needs. We accept donations of gently used items in the following categories:
- Clothing for adults and children
- Clothing accessories including belts, jewelry, scarves, and shoes
- Children’s toys and baby items
- Books, games, puzzles, and music
- Household items including small appliances, lamps, knickknacks, kitchenware, linens, and bedding
- Luggage and bags
- Holiday items for any holiday, not just Christmas
- Tools
- Sporting goods
- Hobby items
All items are sold at low cost, and you are sure to find some exceptional values! All items are in working order unless specifically annotated. We do not sell electronics, furniture, any any other large items
Set-up for this major event generally starts immediately after Sunday worship the week of the Rummage Sale, and it takes us a few days to sort and organize all items. The Rummage Sale is typically a two-day event. This activity needs a lot of volunteers to accept donations, sort donations, sell donations, arrange for final donation of unsold items, and return Roth Hall to the standard church-use configuration. We also need donations of grocery-size brown paper bags, newspapers to wrap breakables, and large shopping bags.
We hope to see you at the sale!
