Proclaiming God’s Word
Enon UMC honors and glorifies our living God in all aspects of our traditional and contemporary worship services. We join together in music, song, scripture, praise, and prayer, and we devote our time, talent, and treasure to God’s work here on Earth.
“Proclaiming God’s Word” encompasses all our ministries devoted to our worship experience (see below). We want to proclaim God’s word throughout our community and be instrumental in making disciples of Jesus Christ to transform the world–and Enon OH.
Our doors are open! If you feel led to get involved in any of our worship ministry areas, we would love to welcome you! Bring your family to church Sunday and experience for yourself how love grows here as we proclaim God’s word!
- Back-to-School Sunday
- Chancel Choir
- Communion the first Sunday of every month during worship
- FaceBook Live Streams: Watch our worship services live on our FaceBook page. A FaceBook account is NOT required to watch this live service, and prior services are available here also.
- FM Broadcasts: Listen to our worship services live on FM channel 97.5. The area covered by the strength of the radio signal is approximately defined by these Enon-area borders: East to Fowler Road, North to Speedway Headquarters, West to Knob Prairie Church, and South to Hunter Road.
- Handbell Choir
- Kids’ Connection (during worship for kids 4-10). After the Pastor’s Children’s Moment, your children will participate in a carefully and creatively planned Kids’ Connection worship, designed just for them.
- Nursery (available Sunday during worship)
- Praise Band
- Sunday Bulletin (order of worship)
- Sunday School (for adults, prior to worship)
- Worship, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Pastor Heather Husted leads worship, delivering high-impact, inspirational sermons, and her services offer frequent opportunities for congregational involvement. During choir season (September-May), our chancel choir sings a beautiful anthem under the direction of David Kestner. Pianist Amy Whitehill plays gorgeous, soul-stirring accompaniment during services. On the fourth Sunday of each month, our house worship band, under the direction of Bill Howard, provides uplifting contemporary praise music. We celebrate holy communion on the first Sunday of every month, and everyone is welcome at the Lord’s table.
- Worship on Fifth Sundays, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. When a month has five Sundays, we often have alternative worship leadership. Pastor Jeff Mohr (former Enon UMC Pastor) is an occasional guest!
