Bean Soup Booth
Enon Apple Butter Festival
Annually, 2nd Weekend in October
Jim Smith leads the Enon UMC Bean Soup Booth at the annual Apple Butter Festival sponsored by the Enon Community Historical Society in October. The Apple Butter Festival has been held for over 40 years, and our booth has participated since at least 1988! A lot of volunteers are needed to make the booth a success. We start preparing the week before the festival, and we need help with all the activities below. Sign up today to support the booth by emailing Jim!
- Early in the week: Scrub down kitchen
- Thursday: Sort beans
- Friday: Set up the booth at the festival
- Friday night: Fill roasters with beans to soak overnight
- Saturday and Sunday: Start roasters and start making muffins
