Wonder Wreath

Enon UMC Wonder Wreath

Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter — Isaiah 58:7 (NIV)

At the start of Advent every year at Enon UMC, and running through the last Sunday of December, we hang an empty Wonder Wreath on the brick wall behind the altar (on the right in the picture above). For each donation made to a Wonder Wreath charity, an ornament is added to the wreath. To donate to Wonder Wreath, see our “Give” page. (Unspecified donations to Wonder Wreath will be evenly split among the charities below.) Besides donating yourself, consider giving a Wonder Wreath donation as a gift! Gift cards and envelopes are available on the Outreach bulletin board in the Lobby. Learn more about a few of the charities we have supported in the past:

  • Enon Emergency Relief (EER): Provides financial and food help to Greenon Local School District residents
  • Growing Knights: Feeds Greenon Local School District students enrolled in the program
  • UMCOR: The humanitarian relief and development arm of The United Methodist Church
