The EnonUMC Staff-Parish Relations Committee (SPRC) is pleased to introduce you to our new Youth Ministry Coordinator, Elana Elmore. 

Elana received her Bachelor’s degree in Music (Vocal Performance) from Hampton University and taught English and Performing Arts electives through Teach for America Jacksonville in Florida for 2 years. She is currently working toward a Master’s in Public Administration from Regent University.

Elana has performed extensively in regional theaters around the country and internationally. Three years ago she returned to Dayton to support youth ministries within her home church and also to impact student programing with the Muse Machine. She currently works with the choral departments at Stivers School for the Arts and Trotwood-Madison High School, and performs occasionally with LaComedia Dinner Theatre.

Elana has been serving youth for over 18 years. She started as a youth leader at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Dayton and later became the President of the Ohio Baptist General Convention’s Children’s Band. While in college she worked with youth programs through Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the Kingdom Worship Center, and the Student Christian Association.
